Today, the Opening Ceremony at the West Bund International Convention and Exhibition Center in Shanghai officially marked the beginning of the 67th International Mathematical Olympiad (IMO 2026). The Olympiad was declared open by Gregor Dolinar, President of the IMO Board.
Over the coming days, nearly 700 contestants from more than 110 countries and territories around the world will come together to celebrate mathematics, youth, and friendship. We look forward to an exceptional Olympiad filled with inspiring challenges, new friendships, and unforgettable experiences.
We wish all contestants every success as they take on six challenging and creative problems, three on each of the two contest days.
