IMO 2026 Concludes in Shanghai

Performers and presenters on stage at the IMO 2026 Closing Ceremony in Shanghai.

Today, the 67th International Mathematical Olympiad (IMO) came to an end with the Closing Ceremony held at Shanghai High School.

Over the past week, nearly 700 contestants from more than 110 countries and territories came together to celebrate mathematics, challenge themselves with six demanding problems, and build friendships across cultures. Once again, the IMO demonstrated that mathematics is a truly international language, bringing together some of the world's most talented young mathematicians.

Congratulations to all contestants for their remarkable achievements, and especially to this year's medalists and prize winners. We also extend our sincere thanks to the organisers, volunteers, leaders, deputy leaders, coordinators, and all those whose dedication made IMO 2026 possible.

We wish all participants a safe journey home and look forward to meeting again at IMO 2027 in Budapest, Hungary.
